I know I haven't posted on Tuesday's game yet. That's coming. This is about the upcoming game on Saturday against Swift Current that is probably my favorite regular season game of the year. It's the annual Teddy Bear toss game! If you haven't heard you bring a bear (or any stuffed animal) to the game and toss it to the ice when the Chiefs score their first goal. The flying plush then gets donated to several organization through the Spokesman-Review Christmas fund.
Bring a bear. Bring more than one bear. It doesn't even need to be a bear. I'm bringing bears, a penguin, a dinosaur, Snoopy, and Snuffleupagus to name a few. You don't even need to spend much. If you can't find a bear for five bucks you don't know how to shop. Last year we threw a total of around 4,100 bears. There's no reason we can't hit 5,000. Last year Calgary threw over 22,000 bears! Why? Because everyone brought at least one. So do it for the kids. Bring a teddy bear to the game on Saturday.
Or I will hunt you down.
